We’ve almost made it to the summer of 2021 and things are starting to look better and better! I’m sure A LOT of you are Super excited to be coming to the the Florida Panhandle for vacation this summer!

Panama City Beach Businesses Reopening
I receive emails regularly from SEE Magazine, the small colorful publication that you can often find in the entrances of condo rentals and Waffle House in Bay County, Florida. I recently received this email containing a list of many businesses that either are or will be reopening soon. This was posted on May 4th, so please check for updates.
I personally will be offering beach photography sessions this summer in Bay County and Walton County, at a safe distance of course. 😉

2019 Year in Review!!
Time is fleeting and photographs preserve a moment in time. GOOD photographs will hopefully bring back the emotions and feelings experienced during the time the image was taken.
Those pictures aren’t always of people looking at the camera and smiling, although that seems to be what so many people (especially parents) want. As a photojournalist and photographer I observe and hopefully capture and create images that people look back on and cherish.
As I look back on each photography session from 2019, I’m flooded with memories of various kinds. Everything from 50th Wedding Anniversaries and Vow Renewals to… We’re “expecting” announcements and a toddlers’ 1st birthday. A grandmother celebrating her 70th birthday, weddings and proud father’s and adoring husbands. Girl’s trips with blustering winds and rainbows and rain storms, technical problems and new photography equipment. Expanding into North Carolina around Lake Norman and Charlotte while still shooting in North Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Last year not only consisted of beach family portraits but weddings and real estate photography as well as working for Airbnb Plus, interior designers and learning studio lighting for head shots for a Great contract job!

Charlotte Studio Design Feature
As some of you might know from my previous blog post that I have begun shooting real estate photography and am expanding into interior design photography here in Charlotte and met the Fabulous Kira Kurc of Kira Kurc Designs a few months ago and we became fast friends!
Her willingness to let me photograph her own home helped me to land a nice job shooting with Airbnb for their Airbnb Plus program that recently launched. I’m happy to showcase one of her most recent clients Desert Boho Studio which I photographed recently in Midtown Charlotte. Check it out below!
Luxury Real Estate Contract Acquired!!
I’m sooooo excited to share that I have been contracted to photograph luxury real estate for Airbnb Plus in the North Carolina high country area near Boone and Blowing Rock!!!
I wasn’t certain I would get the contract eventhough I have been shooting professionally for 15 years and have photographed dozens of luxury homes in North Florida.
I needed a fresh portfolio adhering to Meero’s strict guidelines and since moving to North Carolina…. well, let’s just say I don’t know many people and my apartment is pretty bare since most of my furniture is still in Florida so I was ecstatic when Kira Kurc of Kira Kurc Design in Charlotte agreed I could photograph her beautifully decorated apartment, at the last minute.
I initially reached out to Kira months ago via Instagram when I saw her great Instagram page and loved her work. Within 48 hours I was able to create a select set of images from her home without imposing too much and was notified 24 hours later that I had been accepted to photograph with Airbnb Plus.
This is especially wonderful since it will take awhile for me to build my photography business in this area and I LOVE photographing high end real estate with unique and artistic decor. Rosie and The Boys in Blue Mountain Beach!
Several years ago I photographed Rosie and her family when the boys were pretty young…. well they aren’t anymore! It was kind of surreal seeing them again, all grown up and even though they didn’t remember me, I remembered them and our photo shoot at Alys Beach when they were little. Rosie and her sons Boden, Jeffrey and Jeremy came back down to Florida for a visit and we were able to squeeze in a short family session during their vacation. Can I just say I want to look like Rosie when I grow up… (even though I’m older than her) Lol. I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of her just by herself. It was great seeing all of you again and thank you for contacting me for another photo shoot!
