Several years ago I photographed Rosie and her family when the boys were pretty young…. well they aren’t anymore! It was kind of surreal seeing them again, all grown up and even though they didn’t remember me, I remembered them and our photo shoot at Alys Beach when they were little. Rosie and her sons Boden, Jeffrey and Jeremy came back down to Florida for a visit and we were able to squeeze in a short family session during their vacation. Can I just say I want to look like Rosie when I grow up… (even though I’m older than her) Lol. I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of her just by herself. It was great seeing all of you again and thank you for contacting me for another photo shoot!

Baby Bear On The Way!
Sherri and Brian contacted me recently inquiring about a maternity session/birthday session/beach session while they were in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on vacation. Brian was celebrating his 30th Birthday and he and his lovely wife Sherri were squeezing in one last summer vacation before thier first child is born later this year. We had great weather and Sherri had the BEST blue flowing maternity dress in honor of her baby boy. I was so honored to be referred this sweet couple by Brian’s twin brother Chris, whom I photographed last year when he and his now wife were here on vacation. Congratulations Sherri and Brian on your Baby Bear debuting in November!
Mariah and Matt’s Awesome Wedding!
There is something about people from Tennessee, maybe it’s because my grandmother was from there or maybe it’s the music…. but Mariah and Matt had literally one of the best receptions (and weddings) of all time. Mariah is beautiful and sweet and kind and Matt is a true gentleman who fell in love with Mariah immediately. They were married at Carillon Beach recently surrounded by a ton of of great friends and family who braved an outside wedding and reception in the steamy Florida summer heat . 😉
Their beach ceremony was lovely with a custom made arbor and seashell toss at the end. The reception was held on the Resort Green in Carillon Beach and was surrounded by palm trees, bristro lighting above and beautiful Lake Carillon in the background. An awesome dinner that included fried chicken and shrimp and grits was served and they even had a macaroni and cheese bar at the end of the night. Mari Darr Welch helped me photograph the ceremony and reception and Paul Kirker, of GTS Entertainment had Everyone dancing the night away to some of the best music I’ve EVER heard at a wedding reception. They had a bubble send off at the end and left for their honeymoon two days later. Congratulations Mariah and Matt!

Will You Marry Me….?
Gloria called me a few weeks ago to discuss having her family photographed while they were staying on the beautiful beaches of 30A during their vacation in Florida… but there was a twist. Her oldest daughter, Keisha, was going to be proposed to by her long time high school sweetheart Ken, and she wanted it photographed. After a great conversation learning all about her family, and her oldest daughter’s relationship with her soon to be son-in-law, we had our game plan and everything went perfectly! Keisha said yes! We had a perfect sunset, captured and created great images and well… maybe they will have me photograph their wedding. 😉 Congratulations Keisha and Ken!!!
It’s a Boy!
This was a first for me! And a first for the Seth family who learned they are going to have their first son! Sneha contacted me about having a beach family portrait session with her awesome family while they were on vacation in Florida. It was the first time in years everyone would be together. Sneha and her husband are also expecting their 3rd child and decided to have a gender reveal at the end of their session.
I’m still not sure who specifically knew the sex of their baby but they bought blue silly string and wrapped the outside with paper and ribbon to hide the color and towards the end of their session…. the silly string flew!
Congratulations on your upcoming edition and thank you for letting me capture this great memory and meet your wonderful family!
The Nephew
I think TODAY… I learned just how difficult it is for parents to try and get good images of their children, and just how important it is to hire a professional photographer to photograph your family. I was able to catch these few images while spending time with my nephew today.
Between running after him while also trying to talk to him, explain things, keep him from running up to dogs/people/water…and enjoy our time together, I was LUCKY to be able to get these few shots. You really do need a single, dedicated individual, who ALSO knows what they are doing… to SOLELY focus on taking pictures and someone who can guide the shoot while also making it enjoyable for everyone.
5 Years Later…. and a Little Girl named Chloe!
I had the pleasure of photographing Lindsey and Sean 5 years ago as they were married in Destin, Florida. They came back to Destin for their five year anniversary and to celebrate Sean’s birthday….
this time a new family member was with them, their 2 year old daughter Chloe. She stole the show at our photoshoot and it was so great to see this sweet couple again. Congratulations Lindsey and Sean!
You’re Simply The Best.. of 2017!
2017 was a busy year! Filled with weddings of all shapes and sizes, beach family portraits and maternity sessions, high school senior portraits and on location headshots. Surprise marriage proposals and high school graduations. The majority of my weddings are destination weddings and family portraits are almost always of vacationers. I still find it interesting after all these years, that I become a part of people’s lives briefly, often during some of the most important and memorable times of their lives…. and then, we part ways. You can see a brief glimpse of the people, places and events I photographed this past year.
You’ll see entire wedding parties jumping into a pool at the end of the night. Wedding ceremonies and portraits with Gulf of Mexico as the backdrop all the way from Cape San Blas to 30A to Destin, Florida. A naturally occurring double rainbow during a maternity session in Panama City Beach. Images from my vacation to Mexico to photograph Day of the Dead festivities. Same sex marriages of couples who are finally able to legally wed. Reception details that are simply amazing and the first ever light saber exit I have photographed from a wedding in Watercolor, Florida. This year also entailed me expanding my services to Charlotte, North Carolina and the surrounding area which is really exciting. I’m looking forward to what 2018 has in store! It’s already off to a great start with some Amazing weddings on the calendar… Stay tuned!
