Megan and Chad were married last month at the beautiful Carillon Beach, Florida… one of the premium all inclusive locations along the Gulf Coast of Florida. Megan reserved the penthouse for her and her bridesmaids to get ready in which afforded for some GREAT picture opportunities. The wedding took place nearby on the beach where guests where shuttled via golf carts. The reception was held outdoors on Market Street which helped to create a festive and casual Florida evening and party. I don’t think I have seen more smiles on a bride’s face, than sweet Megan had that day. Congratulations Megan and Chad!!!

Lindsey and Sean’s HUGE blog post!!!
Lindsey and Sean were married recently at the Emerald Grande in Destin, Florida. The festivities started off with a Mexican themed rehearsal dinner filled with gifts and margaritas! Lindsey planned her wedding far in advance of most of my clients and hoped as everyone does, for sunny weather… unfortunately there was light rain during her ceremony which made it all that much more important for me to help her get AWESOME pictures from her Trash the Dress session a few days later. Which I think we did! Friends and family came from all over the country to help these two lovebirds celebrate their nuptials… and they didn’t let a few rain drops spoil the party. RSVP Weddings and Events helped to coordinate the flawless event (beside the weather) flowers were provided by Sheer Elegance and helped make the already swanky reception area even more beautiful. B-boy productions kept the music jamming and guests danced the night away!
Theresa and Dominique’s Rosemary Wedding!!
Theresa and Dominique were married in Rosemary Beach, Florida. Unfortunately it does rain here along our sunny Gulf Coast but that didn’t keep their guests from dancing the night away under a big top tent filled with HUGE balloons and great music! This was by far the most energetic wedding reception I have photographed so far. (sorry to my previous brides) Theresa picked out many one of a kind items to incorporate in her wedding, from her casual vintage wedding dress, custom paper cake topper to the gift bags she gave her bridesmaids and a photo booth with some of the coolest props I have seen so far. Everyone had a great time and the party really did… end too soon.
Professional versus Amateur
Uhh…. actually it’s kinda true. Luckily there are still SOME people out there that can tell the difference between a true professional photographer versus someone who just bought “a nice camera” lol…. and uses filters in editing software to make them acceptable. Unfortunately prices are being driven down drastically and true, full time professional photographers whose sole income comes from their work, are being out bidded for jobs by part time amateurs who can charge like $50 because it’s more of a hobby for them. This is when the women must separate themselves from the girls. 😉 That last part is because I’m a female.. lol
Seashells… Seashore.. Love… and a Wedding
Brianna may have actually been a mermaid in a previous life, if you believe in that sort of thing. 😉
Sooooo many women want to get married at the beach, but I think Brianna exudes the beach, if that is possible.
Every detail of her wedding was related to the water and what lies beneath it. From the handmade bouquets she made herself from a variety of seashells, to the hair pieces she also made and gave her bridesmaids, all the way down to the tiny “pearls” on her wedding cupcakes. Which makes it all the more wonderful that an AMAZING sunset and shallow tide provided a beautiful backdrop for her wedding and these lovely and unique images. Brianna and her love, Minto exchanged vows during a small ceremony on Okaloosa Island along the Gulf Coast of Florida.
I always try and capture unique images from every wedding I photograph.. and I can truly say these are once in a lifetime images!
Congratulations Brianna and Minto!!
Elizabeth and Jacob’s Sneak Peek!
Elizabeth and Jacob had a rather unconventional beach wedding, instead of a bridesmaids Elizabeth had her friends carry lanterns and named them “lantern maidens”. There was no grooms’ side or brides’ side for guests to choose from, instead everyone joined together and surrounded Jacob and Elizabeth as they exchanged their vows. Honoring her mother’s memory Elizabeth incorporated a photograph of her mother in her flower bouquet. Instead of a guest book Elizabeth created a wish tree where her guests signed pieces of fabric with well wishes that she will stitch together to create a quilt from. They held their reception at the Emerald Grande in Destin, Florida and later took the party to Harry T’s Bar and Club. Everything about this wedding was unconventional and it helped to create one of the most memorable weddings I have photographed in a long time. Congratulations Elizabeth and Jacob!!
Fine Art Boudoir Photography Debut 2!!!
I have been waiting months to debut some of these new lovely, sexy and elegant boudoir photography images! I hope you love them as much as I and my clients do. Fine Art Boudoir photography is a wonderful gift to pamper yourself with or knock your husband’s or soon to be husband’s socks off with a wedding or anniversary gift to remember!
Don’t forget to think about professional hair and makeup for this type of session, it’s soooo important. I HIGHLY recommend my friend and colleague Jill Van Otten of Jill Van Otten Cosmetics.
